Regulations

§1. General Provisions

  1. The present Regulations determine the rules of participating in the 54th International School & Conference on the Physics of Semiconductors "Jaszowiec 2026", hereinafter referred to as "the Conference".
  2. The Conference will be held from 13 June to 19 June, 2026 at Hotel "Klimczok" in Szczyrk.

  3. The role of the Conference Organizer (executive) will be performed by Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, hereinafter referred to as "the Organizer":

  4. The registered person in the Conference System, hereinafter will be referred to as "the Participant".
  5. The conference language is English.

§2. Participation in the conference

  1. Participation in the Conference is voluntary.
  2. Only Participants registered in the On-line Abstract Submission & Registration System will participate in the Conference.
  3. The participation in the Conference gives an opportunity to present and to publish the Participant's research results according to rules and regulations included in sections §7 and §8.
  4. The Participants who need Polish visa are kindly requested to contact the Conference Secretary for the Invitation Letter.

§3. Registration

  1. By registering in the On-line Abstract Submission & Registration System, the Participant agrees to the collection, preservation and processing of personal data contained in the registration form, by the Organizer for the purposes of arranging and carrying out the Conference. Details on the type and use of personal data are available on the Privacy Policy bookmark on the Conference website. The Organizer is the administrator of the personal data.
  2. The participation in the Conference is possible only after the registration. The detailed information on the participation type, the Registration fees and the benefits are available in §4 and in the Registration Fees bookmark on the Conference website .
  3. The Participant may cancel the registration by informing the Organizer via an e-mail, unless the Registration fee has already been paid. If the fee has already been paid, read the Cancellation policy in the section §4.
  4. Registration will be open on 23 March 2026.

§4. Registration fees

  1. The person willing to participate in the Conference is obliged to make a payment for participating in the Conference in accordance with the fee rates list and the terms.
  2. The registration fee includes participation in all conference sessions, as well as board and lodging, conference materials, receptions, the conference banquet, and the conference proceedings.
    1. Student fee - accommodation is in 3- or 4-person rooms (all equipped with bathroom, telephone, wire-less internet access, TV).

          2850 PLN for the Conference only

          3350 PLN for the School and the Conference

      In the event that the Conference Venue’s capacity is exceeded, some participants may be accommodated in nearby facilities of the same standard.

    2. Regular fee - accommodation is in 2-person rooms (all equipped with bathroom, telephone, wire-less web access, TV).

          3950 PLN for the Conference only

          4500 PLN for the School and the Conference


  3. If you plan to attend the Conference with an accompanying person, please contact the Organizers.
  4. Limited number of single rooms is also available. They will be distributed on the 'first come first served' basis. Additional payment (to the Regular fee) for the single room:

          1250 PLN for the Conference only

          1450 PLN for the School and the Conference


  5. The Participant should transfer the Registration fee in Polish currency (PLN) to the bank account provided during the on-line registration process. The Registration fee can be paid also by credit card. All bank fees and charges are on the account of the payer.

  6. The payment should be made by the 8 May 2026. Failure to pay the Registration fee by 8 May 2026 will result in removal of the Participant from the list of Conference Participants.
  7. The Registration fee may be withdrawn if the resignation is submitted to the Organizer by email before the 8 May 2026. The return could be reduced by any bank fees and charges.
  8. After the 8 May 2026, the conference fee cannot be withdrawn.

§5. Student discounts

  1. Students and PhD students may apply for a Student Discount. The granting of the discount and its amount depend on the evaluation of submitted abstracts and the available conference budget.
  2. A Student Discount may be granted provided that all of the following conditions are met:
    1. the applicant is the presenting author of an oral presentation or a poster,
    2. the applicant participates in both the Special Tutorial Session (School) held on 13–14 June 2026 (Saturday–Sunday) and the main Conference held on 15–19 June 2026,
    3. the application form is signed by the applicant’s supervisor, who confirms that the fee reduction is necessary for the applicant’s participation in the Conference,
    4. the financial support is available exclusively to PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s students; the Organizers may request confirmation of student status,
  3. The application procedure is as follows:
    1. an account must be created in the online registration system,
    2. the application form (DOCX or PDF) must be completed and signed by the applicant and the supervisor,
    3. a scan of the signed application form (PDF file) must be uploaded to the online registration system between 23 March and 6 April 2026. Applications submitted after 6 April 2026 will not be accepted.
  4. Information on the decision regarding the Student Discount and its amount will be sent to applicants on 10 April 2026.
  5. Additional provisions:
    1. the Organizers reserve the right to withdraw the granted discount if the eligibility conditions are not met,
    2. students granted the Student Discount are required to provide organizational assistance during conference sessions,
    3. the discount is intended to support the education of young researchers and applies only to participation in both the Special Tutorial Session and the Conference; in the event that a student or PhD student participates only in the Conference, the respective institution shall be obliged to cover the difference up to the full participation fee.

§6. Invoice

  1. The Participant who needs a proforma-invoice should send the request to the Organizer.
  2. For payments made by 31 March 2026, invoices will be issued in paper form.
  3. For payments made from 1 April 2026:
    1. invoices for companies and institutions required to use the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF) will be issued via KSeF,
    2. invoices for entities not subject to the obligation to use KSeF, including foreign entities and natural persons, will be issued in paper form.

§7. Abstracts and Conference materials

  1. All abstracts have to be submitted via the On-line Abstract Submission & Registration System.
  2. To correctly submit the abstract, the appropriate fields in the Conference system should be filled in. Abstract file in the PDF format prepared according to the template, available in the Abstract submission bookmark should be attached.
  3. The Participant during submission may declare the preferred type of presentation (oral or poster presentation). The final decision regarding the presentation method will be made by the Program Committee.
  4. Abstracts qualified for the presentation during the Conference will be published in form of the Book of Abstracts and in the Conference materials on the website.
  5. All published abstracts will contain following information: the authors names, the authors affiliations, corresponding author name and e-mail as well as the acknowledgements.

§8. The conference program

  1. The detailed Conference program will include the names and surnames of the author and the co-authors, the authors affiliations as well as the title of the lecture/poster.
  2. The final Conference program will be available in the Program bookmark at the latest about 1 week prior to the Conference.
  3. If the Participant does not attend the conference, his name will be deleted from the Conference program and materials available on the website.

§9. Final provisions

  1. Organizer reserves the right to change the content of the regulations at any time prior and following the Conference.
